Vaporization/sublimation:
Varroxal should be applied to brood-free bee colonies as a single treatment in the fall/winter at an outside temperature between 2°C and a maximum of 10°C. A second vaporization treatment at intervals of 2 weeks is only recommended for heavily infested colonies of over 6%, i.e. with a natural mite infestation of >1 Varroa mite per day. Or colonies in which, during the first treatment, small areas of capped brood were still present.
Dosage:
To treat a colony, add 2 g of the veterinary medicine to a suitable device for vaporization (e.g. Varrox or Varrox Eddy vaporizer).

Drip application:
In brood-free colonies in summer after the Honey Harvest or in fall/winter as a single treatment
at outside temperatures above -15°C.
Dosage:
Mix8 scoops of veterinary medicine with 200 ml of lukewarm sugar syrup in a 1:1 ratio (30°C to 35°C) in a non-metallic container to make a 4% (m/V) oxalic acid dihydrate solution (equivalent to a 2.8%

Recommendation
All colonies in an apiary should be treated at the same time to prevent reinvasion. Use the veterinary medicinal product as part of an integrated Varroa control program with regular monitoring of the mite infestation. If the bees are treated more than once per generation of worker bees, this can lead to damage to the bees and a reduction in colony strength.

Disposal
Veterinary medicines that have not been used up should preferably be disposed of at hazardous waste collection points. Veterinary medicines must not be disposed of with waste water or via the sewage system. These measures serve to protect the environment.

Warnings
Only use in brood-free bee colonies, as the effectiveness against Varroa destructoris not given in the capped brood cells.
