Two vertical-half frames can be put together due to a special milling and then result in the dimensions of Dadant US brood of 482 x 285 mm

Two frames put together make a Dadant US brood chamber frame measuring 482 x 285 mm. This means that brood or queen can be easily transferred. The two frames are held in place by the special cut-out without the need for an additional clip or holder.

Did you already know?
The wire in the frames should be tensioned so that the wood does not bend too much. As the bee builds the center wall with the frames, the strength results from the expansion in the colony. If the frame wire is too loose or sagging, tension it with a wire tensioner, e.g. item no. 3357.

Our tip:
Do not tension the wire over its entire length but only 5 to 10 cm, this is absolutely sufficient.
