The Korean Velutina trap (Yasaeng system) is the professional solution for beekeepers who want to protect their bee colonies reliably and specifically against Vespa velutina and Vespa orientalis. While conventional PET bottle traps quickly lose their effectiveness, this system impresses with its long service life, strong trapping effect and maximum protection of honey bees - ideal for the entire season.

Why this trap is so effective

The Yasaeng trap uses the natural behavior of insects:

• Honey bees orient themselves by the light and find their own way back out through the slits in the dome
• Vespa velutina & Vespa orientalis have a much wider thorax and cannot turn around in the slit - they remain safely trapped

This reduces unwanted by-catches to a minimum and ensures stress-free beekeeping.

Long-lasting attraction thanks to liquid bait + gel pellets

The trap combines two bait systems for maximum efficiency:

• Liquid bait in the base
• Gel pellets on the green shell

Gel pellets store the scent and release it slowly - ideal for a stable attracting effect over 15-20 days.

Recommendation:

• 10-15 gel pellets per trap
• Compatible with any liquid bait

Bait and gel pellets are not included.

Double chamber system - clean bait, constant effect

The bait is placed in a separate chamber. As a result:

• moths do not get stuck in the bait
• the bait stays clean for longer
• the scent release remains constant
• the catching effect is significantly extended

The problem of dirty bait due to folding scales is also almost completely eliminated.

Effective against two invasive species

The trap was developed for the Asian hornet (Vespa velutina), but is also highly effective against the increasingly widespread Vespa orientalis.
