When using Velutina barriers, please bear in mind that drones cannot escape from the beehive due to their size. Therefore, we recommend using these barriers only after the end of the drone battle (late summer / fall).

The Velutina barriers are like a last line of defense to prevent the Asian hornet from entering the beehive. This requires a hole diameter of 5.5 mm and precise drilling. As a result, the bees can lose some of the pollen when they slip through, which is why we recommend regular checks.
