With the Thermoplast feeding frames feeding chamber closure sliders, access to the feeding chamber of the Thermoplast feeding frame can be precisely controlled. If the feed chamber closing slider is inserted with the straight edge facing downwards, the bees cannot enter the feed chamber. If inserted the other way round, with the recess facing downwards, the bees have a passage into the feed chamber and can be fed. The Thermoplast feeder frame feeder compartment lock slider is designed to remain permanently in the feeder frame.

Positions of the feed chamber closing slider

• closed: the bees have no access to the feed chamber
• open: the bees can reach the feed unhindered
