Quick Start Guide – Imgut® ECO 2 W Extractor

1. Setting Up

  • Place the extractor on a level, dry surface.
  • Attach the three legs to the mounting tabs at the bottom of the drum and secure them with star-head screws.
  • Carefully raise the extractor upright.

2. Preparing for Assembly

  • Attach the crank handle to the manual drive using a screw and lock nut.
  • Place the lid halves on top and slide them under the crossbar.
  • Before use, check that all screws and nuts are tight.

3. Before spinning

  • Thoroughly pre-clean the centrifuge (using warm water and food-safe cleaners).
  • Set up the extractor and place a collection container under the drain valve.
  • Open the squeeze valve to allow the honey to drain.
  • Insert the honeycomb frames correctly: The top bar should be vertical and leaning against the right side of the hive, and the bottom bar should point in the direction of rotation.

4. Extracting Process

  • Close the lid.
  • Turn the crank clockwise.
  • Start slowly, then increase the speed.
  • After spinning, manually rotate the honeycomb frames 180° and repeat with the other side.
  • Always let the extractor come to a stop on its own —never apply the brakes.

5. After spinning

  • Replace the honey collection container if necessary.
  • Disassemble the extractor (remove the crossbar, set the basket aside).
  • Clean the bowl and skeps with warm water and dry them.
  • Occasionally lubricate the drive and bearings with food-grade oil or grease.
  • Store the extractor in a dry place; avoid extreme temperature fluctuations.
