The ApiNord® 50 kg stainless steel filling bucket is a large-capacity filling bucket made of Edelstahl Rostfrei® for apiaries with high harvest volumes. With a capacity of up to 50 kg of honey, it is ideal as a collection container at the extractor and for subsequent filling into honey jars.

The flush-mounted stainless steel squeeze valve allows you to fill jars or buckets with honey in a controlled manner without excessive spillage. The lid with a silicone gasket fits tightly and reliably protects the honey from dust and moisture dripping down from the extractor chamber. This allows you to use the bucket as a storage container for individual batches before transferring the honey to jars or smaller filling buckets. The 50 kg bucket is ideal for commercial beekeeping operations or larger hobby beekeeping operations with high harvest volumes. If you’re running multiple extractions in a row and want to wait until afterward to bottle the honey, this filling bucket provides you with ample reserve capacity.

Yes, you can use the bucket as a storage container for individual batches. The lid with a silicone seal fits tightly and protects the honey from dust and moisture. For very long storage periods, we also recommend storing the honey in glass jars or in special, airtight storage containers.

The bucket and squeeze tap are made of Edelstahl Rostfrei® (stainless steel), and the lid’s gasket is made of silicone. This makes the filling bucket ideal for honey and other liquid foods and ensures it can be cleaned hygienically.

The floor-level stainless steel squeeze tap allows for highly controlled filling. You can precisely control the flow of honey, fill jars neatly, and empty the bucket almost completely without leaving much honey pooled at the bottom.

Rinse the Edelstahl Rostfrei® bucket and the squeeze tap immediately after use with warm water and a food-safe cleaner. Then let all parts dry thoroughly before replacing the lid. This will keep the filling bucket hygienic, odor-free, and ready for long-term use.

Quick Guide – ApiNord® 50 kg Stainless Steel Filling Bucket

1. Setting Up

  • Place the bucket on a level, stable surface.
  • Make sure there is enough space under the squeeze tap for jars or buckets.
  • When fully loaded, position the 50 kg filling bucket on a sturdy stand or cart if possible.

2. Preparation

  • Thoroughly clean the bucket, lid, and squeeze valve with warm water before first use.
  • Check that the squeeze valve is tightly closed.
  • When storing honey temporarily, place the lid with the silicone gasket on securely.

3. Filling

  • Let the honey flow from the Honey Extractor or collection container into the filling bucket.
  • Ensure a steady, low-foam flow.
  • Do not fill the bucket beyond its maximum capacity of approximately 50 kg.

4. Bottling

  • Position suitable honey jars or buckets under the squeeze valve.
  • Slowly open the squeeze valve and monitor the fill level.
  • Close the tap in a timely manner to achieve a uniform fill level.
  • If taking longer breaks, close the squeeze valve completely to prevent dripping.

5. After Filling and Cleaning

  • Remove any remaining honey from the bucket using a honey scraper.
  • Clean the bucket and squeeze valve with warm water and a food-safe cleaner.
  • Allow all parts to dry thoroughly before resealing the bucket with the lid.
  • Store the bucket in a dry, clean place.
