Application note

When using Velutina barriers, please bear in mind that drones cannot escape from the beehive either. We therefore recommend using them in late summer / fall.

The Velutina barriers are like a last line of defense to prevent the Asian hornet from entering the beehive. This requires a hole diameter of 5.5 mm and precise drilling. As a result, the bees can lose some of the pollen when they slip through, which is why we recommend regular checks.
