From bee hippie to commercial beekeeper" contains the knowledge of Bernhard Heuvel, who started out with a few bee colonies in his garden to pollinate his fruit trees and now runs a beekeeping business as his main occupation. Heuvel was born in Schleswig-Holstein in 1979 and moved to the Lower Rhine with his family very early on, where he grew up and still lives today. Bernhard already had his own vegetable garden when he was 10 years old. Before he started with bees, he was semi self-sufficient with chickens and other animals. Producing food and enjoying the fresh produce - that is Bernhard's idea of a good life.
