Fully integrated and easy on the back

Our Segeberger vertically halved boxes are made of Hartpor-Styropor^® up to 4 cm thick and accommodate up to 5 standard-size frames measuring 394 x 223 mm. Placed side by side, two Segeberger vertically halved boxes have the same external dimensions as a Segeberger Full Frame, but weigh only half as much.

If you leave the removable grooved insert in the Segeberger vertically halved box, they are stackable like a magazine. Thus, in combination with our Segeberger split hive bottom (Item No. 1221) and the Segeberger nucleus hive lid (Item No. 1224), the boxes can be used as a height-adjustable nuc box. The boxes are suitable for hibernating.

By using the optional riser, beekeeping is possible in a customized brood chamber with the standard “one-and-a-half” dimensions of 394 x 338 mm, both during normal operation and when establishing a new colony.

The delivery includes a set of 4 rails, consisting of two precisely fitting angle rails and two support rails.
