Product Description

The Mini Plus Styropor® universal bottom board “with a single Entrance in the center” serves as the foundation for a flexible Mini Plus system. It combines a removable aluminum ventilation grille with a modular plug-in system to which various attachments can be added at the front and back.

Depending on your needs, a single bottom can thus be configured as a classic Mini Plus bottom, a variant with multiple Entrances, or a bottom with a retrofittable feed tray.

Function of the Mini Plus universal bottom in Use

The universal bottom supports the Mini Plus Styropor boxes and ensures reliable ventilation of the colonies via the aluminum ventilation grille. Bee traffic is directed through the centrally located entrance, optionally in combination with a suitable drone excluder or entrance lock. By simply swapping out the attachments, the bottom board adapts to different operating methods in Queen Rearing and colony splitting.

Ja, der Boden ist als modulares System konzipiert, daher kann bei entsprechenden Sets ein Futtereinsatz nachgerüstet werden.

Die Front und Rückseite werden als Steckteile aufgeschoben, ein Kleben ist nicht nötig und der Wechsel gelingt schnell ohne Werkzeug.

Der Universalboden ist mit allen Mini Plus Styropor Beutenteilen von Holtermann kompatibel und kann direkt unter die passenden Zargen gesetzt werden.

Mit passenden Anbauteilen und einem eingesetzten Trennschied lassen sich mehrere Ableger oder Königinnen in einer Mini Plus Beute führen.

Quick Guide – Mini Plus Styropor® universal bottom “One Entrance in the Center”

1. Preparation

  • Select a hive site that is dry and level.
  • Unpack all parts of the universal bottom and check that everything is included.

2. Assemble the Attachments

  • Slide the “closed” attachment and the “one Entrance in the center” attachment onto the front and rear snap-fit surfaces.
  • Make sure all snap-in connections are secure.

3. Setting up the hive

  • Place the assembled universal bottom in its designated location.
  • Place the Mini Plus Styrofoam box in the center.
  • Make sure the Entrance remains clear and is not obstructed.

4. Use in the apiary

  • Place a nucleus colony or queen colony in the Mini Plus-sized hive.
  • If necessary, insert a divider board if multiple units are to be kept in a single hive.
  • Secure the entrance as needed with a drone excluder or entrance lock.

5. Cleaning and Storage

  • Remove the aluminum ventilation screen and clean the bottom and screen with lukewarm water.
  • Allow all parts to dry thoroughly.
  • Store the bottom board in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
