Pollen allergies / Wolfgang Voigt

  • and the ecological benefits of honey bees - On the connection between nature and society
  • Publisher: Frieling
  • Softcover, 127 pages

Blurb

It is well known that honey bees are useful as suppliers of honey and wax and as plant pollinators. However, the fact that they also have a direct influence on pollen allergies will only really become public knowledge thanks to Wolfgang Voigt's new work. Economic and social developments have recently ensured that the diversity of animal and plant species has been severely restricted. The author shows that this is also due to the reduction in honey bee colonies. This has led to a decline in flowering plants and an increase in plants that are pollinated by wind, which increasingly causes pollen allergies. The second aspect, the lack of biomass as a basis of life for forest ants and other insect-eating creatures, has already been discussed in the author's first two Books. However, a balanced and species-rich natural cycle is essential for the ecological balance and thus for a healthy living environment.
