Conclusion on the SIPA® Swarm Trap

The SIPA® swarm trap is a well-designed attractor hive and swarm-catching box for anyone who wants to safely capture swarms and use them flexibly. Thanks to its universal frame system, generous capacity, and sturdy, lightweight construction, it’s suitable for both hobby and commercial beekeeping operations.

Use the SIPA® swarm trap to manage the next swarming season in a relaxed, efficient, and bee-friendly manner.

Holtermann’s Practical Tip: Place the swarm trap 2–3 meters above the ground in a sunny, warm spot—but not one that’s fully exposed—near your apiary, and equip it with removed combs and some Swarm Lure. Swarms are significantly more likely to choose a well-prepared decoy hive that looks like a “ready-made home.”
