The spacer rake for thick combs provides the necessary and even beespace between normal frames to create thick combs in no time at all.

As soon as the combs have been removed by the bee, a frame is removed and the thick comb spacer is used to create the space between the remaining frames. This encourages the bees to remove the combs in depth instead of completely rebuilding them.

This can also make uncapping for honey extraction easier, as the comb protrudes over the edge of the frames and a clean cut is possible. Furthermore, the greater distance makes it easier to pull out, align and inspect removed frames.
