The VakoFang is a sophisticated frame construction for controlling and catching Varroa mites. It combines several biotechnical processes, such as queen confinement, frame isolation cage and trapping cage, in a single frame without the use of treatment agents - ideal for beekeepers who want to promote varroa-resistant and vital bee populations in a natural way.

Multifunctional

The VakoFang combines proven biotechnical methods such as queen cage, frame isolation cage and catching comb in a single, innovative unit:

• Restricted area (small at the top): With stable plastic Beeswax Foundations that cannot be altered by the bees
• Catch area 1 (large at the top): With integrated locking hooks for easy opening of the catching areas
• Catching area 2 (bottom): Complements the upper catching area for increased effectiveness.

Both catch areas can be fitted with Beeswax Foundations starting strips.

Flexible use

The VakoFang has been universally designed for common frame dimensions. The upper beam corresponds to the standard German size, while the height is slightly reduced. This means that the VakoFang can also be easily integrated into larger frame formats, such as:
