Imgut® heat screens
Made of 20 mm thick insulation board material, firmly screwed to a 10 mm thick solid wood upper beam. Beekeeping in an adapted brood chamber by using the heat screen as a blind honeycomb. The heat screens are placed on one or both sides next to the brood nest so that the bees brood all the way to the outermost honeycomb and form a compact brood nest with no edge zones
Did you already know?
As the bee colony strengthens, the hive bees can gnaw at the corners and edges of the heat screen. To prevent damage caused by this "gnawing", we recommend laminating with the mirror-effect film (item no. 3099) or metallic heat & protective film (item no. 30995). The heat screens are helpful in the cold season to help the bee colony to keep warm, in the warm season they should be removed, so do not leave them in the bee colony all year round
