FAQ - Frequently asked questions
Our EPP hive is characterized by even longer durability and deformation-free load-bearing capacity. Known from vehicle and aircraft construction, the hive material is less susceptible to breakage or damage caused by beekeeping with hive chisels and has a "shape memory". As the material is foamed through and through with color, it does not require any further painting before being filled with bee colonies. Another advantage of this material is that it comes with UV protection from the factory and is fully recyclable.
Our sturdy ventilation grilles with a material thickness of 1 mm are carefully glued in place using hot glue before delivery. Nevertheless, it is possible that the ventilation grilles may come loose due to the tension caused by the shrinking process and depending on use. We recommend using a hot glue gun with the appropriate hot glue or our ApiDana® hive glue to reattach the ventilation grilles.
