Product Description

The SIPA® “Grande” pollen dryer is a professional stainless-steel pollen dryer designed for beekeepers who want to carefully preserve pollen while also using the unit as a versatile Warming Cabinet for honey. The insulated stainless steel cabinet with hot-air circulation and electronic temperature control from 25 to 80°C ensures even and gentle drying.

The pollen is spread in thin layers on the SIPA® mesh trays with fine mesh. A quiet fan distributes the warm air evenly throughout the interior, while the digital sensor-touch control maintains the desired temperature and runtime. If needed, the cabinet can be converted into a full-fledged Warming Cabinet for honey and other Hive Products using SIPA® shelves.

The SIPA® “Grande” pollen dryer is ideal for gently drying bee pollen and can also be used as a Warming Cabinet for honey, for example, to liquefy and temper it before bottling.

The electronic temperature control allows settings from 25 to 80 °C. This lets you dry pollen at low temperatures and use the Honey Liquefier and Melter to liquefy honey at moderate temperatures.

Thanks to the large interior dimensions and the ten SIPA® mesh trays, you can dry several flat layers of pollen at the same time. This is particularly suitable for medium to large beekeeping operations.

Yes, if you replace the mesh trays with SIPA® shelving trays, you’ll have a fully functional Warming Cabinet for tempering honey, wax molds, or other Hive Products.

The smooth stainless steel surfaces can be easily cleaned with a soft cloth and food-safe cleaners. Mesh trays should be thoroughly cleaned and completely dried after the season.

Quick Guide – SIPA® "Grande" Pollen Dryer

1. Setup

  • Place the unit on a level, dry, and well-ventilated surface.
  • Leave sufficient space between the unit and walls and flammable materials.
  • Prepare to connect the unit to a suitable 230 V outlet.

2. Preparation

  • Clean and dry the interior and mesh compartments before first use.
  • Roughly remove any foreign objects from the pollen before drying.
  • Insert the mesh trays into the holders at even intervals.

3. Pollen Drying

  • Spread the pollen in a thin layer on the mesh trays.
  • Select the pollen program or the desired temperature and runtime using the sensor-touch control.
  • Close the door and open it as infrequently as possible during drying.

4. Use as a Warming Cabinet

  • If necessary, replace the wire shelves with suitable SIPA shelving units.
  • Place honey containers or other products securely inside.
  • Set the appropriate temperature for tempering honey.

5. After use

  • Turn off the unit using the main switch and unplug the power cord.
  • Wipe down and dry the interior after it has cooled.
  • Clean the wire racks or shelves and store them separately.
