The EWG^® Velutina entrance cage "muzzle" for Frankenbeute^® and Segeberg Hive is an important accessory for hives when it comes to protecting bee colonies from the Vespa Velutina, the Asian hornet. The close-meshed wire with openings of 12 x 12 mm prevents hornets from flying directly into the Entrance of the beehive and interrupts the attack. Bees can fly freely and unhindered through the wire. It can be attached, for example, with a tensioning strap (not included) around the cheeks and the Boxes.
