Top bar for natural honeycomb construction in standard top bar lengths such as DN, Zander and Dadant US. Made from 25 mm wide, untreated solid wood. The honeycomb strip in the shape of a ship's hull offers greater transitional stability between the honeycomb and the top board than the center wall strip. The hull is coated or dipped in liquid beeswax, after which the bees can build their own honeycomb on the upper beam
