Breathable and diffusion-open cover with lotus effect prevents mold growth and helps with temperature loss. The textured, rough side belongs at the bottom and allows moisture to escape upwards from the hive, the smooth side belongs at the top and is water-repellent. We recommend placing a piece of gauze underneath to prevent the bees from cementing or building up the hive
