The Imgut® ant barrier for hives in a set of 4 reliably protects your apiary from ant infestation and is ideal as hive accessories for outdoor apiaries. Thanks to the robust stainless steel design, the barrier remains permanently ready for use and weather-resistant.

The ant barrier forms a physical barrier with an oil-filled shell. Ants cannot cross the oil, so the hive and beehive remain ant-proof.

Neutral vegetable oils such as sunflower or rapeseed oil are recommended. They flow well, form a smooth surface and evaporate more slowly than water.

The barrier is suitable for hives, hive bottoms and horizontal hives as long as the contact surface of the hive foot fits the mounting plate and is stable.

The load capacity per foot is around 50 kg, with four feet this is sufficient for a fully occupied hive, provided the load is evenly distributed.
