Quick guide - Chinese Grafting tool PRO

1. preparation

  • Open the Grafting tool and case and remove the desired Grafting tool.
  • Prepare the brood frame with brood cups and position at a comfortable working height.

2. selecting the larvae

  • Only use the very youngest larvae, ideally about one day old.
  • Hold the brood comb so that the cells are well illuminated (e.g. with a headlamp or magnifying lamp).

3. pick up the larva

  • Insert the flexible tongue of the Grafting tool flat into the cell.
  • Slide it under the larva and lift it slowly together with some royal jelly.

4. transfer the larva

  • Carefully position the larva over the prepared breeding cup.
  • Push the tongue forward by pressing lightly on the handle until the larva and its feeding juices are nucleus in the cup.

5. after relarving

  • Rinse the Grafting tool briefly with warm water.
  • If necessary, clean with a mild detergent and dry.
  • Put the tools back in the case and store in a clean, dry place.
